Nov. 30: Zumba Fundraiser for MacArthur Track, School Board Meeting, Zoning Board Hearing

1. The final day of November will be a mild one in Nassau County with a high temperature near 56 degrees under mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The MacArthur High School track team is holding a zumba fundraiser led by the Hofstra University dance team starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Levittown Memorial Education Center on 150 Abbey Ln.

3. The Town of Hempstead is holding its weekly Board of Zoning Appeals hearing today. Cases are called at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. One of the applications on the calendar at 9:30 a.m. is the Parkside Cafe in Seaford requesting a variance for off-street parking.

4. The Levittown Board of Education has a planning session scheduled starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Levittown Memorial Education Center.

5. The Levittown Athletic Club is holding early registration for its Spring 2012 season this evening starting at 7 p.m. in J. Fred Sparke Elementary School on 100 Robin Pl., Levittown
