Oct. 18: School Board Meeting, Girls Volleyball, Trump on the Ocean

1. Alliance to Revitalize Jones Beach (ARJB) founder Rafe Lieber will be speaking at tonight's Wantagh Chamber of Commerce general meeting about the organization's attempts to get the long-stalled Trump on the Ocean catering hall project off the ground. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Per Un' Angelo on 3275 Byron St., Wantagh.

2. The Wantagh Board of Education will hold a meeting tonight at 8 p.m. at Wantagh High School. 

3. Three local girls volleyball teams are in action Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. including:

4. Thousands of participants took part in the annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach this past Sunday. To view a video of the event, click here.
