Sept. 13: 9/11 Memorial Videos, Journey With Coast Guard, Yoga Classes

  2. Yesterday Patch debuted a new “day in the life” video series that takes viewers on a journey with the U.S. Coast Guard at Jones Beach. To view the video and take the journey, click here.
  3. East Broadway Elementary School in Seaford will hold a PTA meeting tonight at 7 p.m.
  4. Today and every Tuesday at Seaford Cinemas, movie-goers of all ages are offered any showing for the low discounted price of $6.75.
  5. The Levittown Public Library will be holding beginner yoga classes today from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and another one from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
