Sept. 14: Donald Trump at Jones Beach, School Board Meetings and More

1. Real estate mogul Donald Trump is scheduled to appear in Wantagh today at 11 a.m. during a rally on the Jones Beach Boardwalk in support of his long-stalled catering hall proposal called Trump on the Ocean. The rally is being organized by a newly formed advocacy group called Alliance to Revitalize Jones Beach.

2. Board of Education meetings are scheduled tonight in Levittown, Wantagh and Island Trees.The Levittown planning session is scheduled for 7:30 p.m, at the district offices on 150 Abbey Ln. The Wantagh school board meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the administrative offices inside Wantagh Middle School. The Island Trees Board of Education work session is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Karopczyc School.

3. Today is the last day to purchase tickets for a comedy fundraiser taking place at Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore tomorrow night in support Save Seaford Sports, an organization dedicated to raising $141,000 needed to restore the Seaford Middle School winter and spring athletic seasons that were cut from the budget. 4. The Levittown Public Library Board of Trustees will be holding a meeting tonight at 8 p.m.

5. Jack Schnur will be at the Levittown Public Library today at 2 p.m. to give a lecture on the life and career of Judy Garland starting at 2 p.m.
