WEEKLY RECAP: Seaford Men Arrested, Neighborhood Still Rebuilding from Hurricane Irene

3. On the one year anniversary of Hurricane-turned Tropical Storm Irene, some Seaford residents in a neighborhood just south of Merrick Road are still trying to rebuilding their flood-damaged homes.

After more than a dozen homes on Narraganset Avenue , many residents on the block lobbied for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Now many of the affected homeowners have decided to elevate their houses in order to comply with FEMA standards.

2. A Seaford man was arrested Sunday night and charged with taking a lewd photograph inside a men's restroom at  in Babylon. 

New York State Park Police said a man told authories that Eric K. Berger of Seaford had used a cellphone to snap photos in a public restroom near Parking Field 5 at around 7:30 p.m. Police said Berger, 33, "lowered his cellphone and took a picture of the man's private parts."

1. - A Seaford man who was spotted trespassing at a home he'd been kicked out of was arrested Tuesday afternoon for  in Massapequa, police said.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
