All the Little Italies

When it comes to celebrating, don’t we each have a little Italian in us? Why not celebrate your “inner Italian” with a trip to Italy right here in New York! Between 1880 and 1920, over four million Italians entered the United States. Learn how those who settled in New York’s neighborhoods made their cultural imprint on the city. With four Little Italys to visit in New York’s boroughs, there’s plenty to see and do. We’ll take a “tour” through each one, with an in-depth look at attractions, restaurants, markets, bakeries, shops; all that makes them uniquely Italian. Plus, we’ll “tour” another Little Italy in a city only two hours from New York. Complete itineraries, thorough information about each neighborhood and directions for car/public transportation/parking will all be provided. Registration begins Tuesday, September 10th at the Reference Desk.
