Bus Trip: The Sylvester Manor and Ram’s Head Inn

In conjunction with the Long Island Reads book “The Manor,” we have planned a lovely day visiting Shelter Island, touring The Sylvester Manor, and enjoying a delicious lunch at the beautiful  Ram’s Head Inn.   There is a good bit of walking to be done on this trip, be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Because our coach bus is too large to enter through the manor gates at the end of the driveway, we will be walking up the driveway to the house, passing the historic slave cemetery on our way. We will have an hour and one half tour of the manor house and some of the grounds.  Lunch at the Ram’s Head Inn will include a Salad of baby greens, a choice of Chicken Milanese or Grilled Scottish Salmon, a delicious dessert of Bourbon Apple Crumble, with vanilla bean gelato, and coffee or tea will complete the meal. Registration begins Tuesday, March 18th at the Circulation Desk. Seaford School District Residents only on the first day of registration. No refunds unless a substitute can be found from the waiting list.  Pay by check only please. Bus leaves at 8:30am.

Cost: $86 (includes transportation, ferry, tour, lunch and tips).
