"Grandma" Rose Martinez a long time employee of Golds Gym in Bellmore was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and bone cancer in May 2012. Golds Gym is sponsoring a fundraiser to help Rose and her husband Louie with their mounting medical costs. There will be a spinathon with class times at 10am, 11:15am and 12:30pm (cost is $25 per class), also a Zumbathon at 2pm, 2hr class (cost in $25). ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO ROSE. $20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east of…Read More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
