Please Join Us!

As we have done since 1998, Last Hope Animal Rescue is again joining other shelters and animal groups around the country by remembering deceased and lost pets, and honoring those pets still with us.

To participate, we request a:

$10 donation per red ribbon for each pet you wish to remember.

$10 donation per silver ribbon for each pet you wish to honor.

The Trees of Love will be lit and fully decorated at on Saturday, December 15 at 4PM

Refreshments will be served. All proceeds from this event will go to the animal rescue and rehabilitation work of Last Hope. One tree will be decorated completely in green ribbons in remembrance of the countless, unwanted shelter animals throughout the US euthanized each year. Last Hope has pledged to assist doomed dogs in certain struggling out of state shelters too. Even if you do not take part in honoring your own pets, please consider giving $10 for a green ribbon on this special tree so we can save a dog or cat from death in an overcrowded Southern shelter.

If you would like to remember/honor your pet, download and complete the attached participation form. You can mail it along with your donation back to Last Hope Animal Rescue - P.O. Box 7025, Wantagh, NY 11793 by December 13th or bring it with you to the event.

We hope to see you there!!

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?
