Pastor Donnie McClurkin and Perfecting Faith Church Host Outdoor Crusade at Jones Beach State Park

The New York Call, an annual outdoor crusade organized by a coalition of Christian pastors and congregations from across the New York tri-state area, celebrates its 10th anniversary with a full day of activities at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, located at Jones Beach State Park. This milestone event, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., is FREE and open to the public.

The New York Call began in 2004 under the leadership of its founder, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, and a coalition of Christian clergy and congregations from across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut seeking to remove barriers, foster unity and promote continual fellowship among members of the Christian faith community so that together they could reach those who are hurting and lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Their efforts culminate each year in August with a mega outdoor crusade, drawing between 10,000 and 20,000 participants for a day of music, outreach and fun for the entire family.

The following free activities and empowerment sessions are free from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pavilion Area:

  • Health screenings, including cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure checks, HIV/STD testing, dental care services, eye exams and mammography appointments

  • Nutrition and fitness information

  • Empowerment sessions in financial management, career planning and home ownership

  • Food sampling, compliments of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill

  • Face painting and games for the kids

  • Giveaways galore and much more!

  • A 10th anniversary concert begins at 3 p.m. on the main stage, featuring Bishop Hezekiah Walker, JJ Hairston, Pastor and New York Call Founder Donnie McClurkin; guest speakers, including local pastors, community leaders, Golden Krust President & CEO Lowell Hawthorne and others.
