David Morrison will present a program on the history of the Long Island Rail Road Port Jefferson Branch, covering stations from Hicksville to Port Jefferson and beyond to Wading River (the railroad served Wading River between 1895 and 1938). He will also have his latest Arcadia Publishing Company book, on the Port Jeff Branch, for sale and autographs.
Dave is a long time member of our Society and he is also a charter member of the Hicksville Historical Society. He is a retired LIRR Branch Line manager and railroad historian. His talk will be augmented by digital images consisting of historical photographs, documents, timetables and maps.
