John Theissen Children's Foundation Back to School Drive

John Theissen Children's Foundation was founded nearly 20 years ago when founder, John Theissen, beat a brain tumor. A large part of the foundation's fundraising is the annual Back to School Program where monetary donations and school supplies are collected for sick and underprivileged children across Long Island.

From Aug. 1-26, the foundation's Fun Center will be taking collections of backpacks, spiral notebooks, marble notebooks, loose leaf, binders, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencils, pencil cases, ballpoint pens, rulers, glue sticks and scissors. A $150 monetary donation can sponsor one child to provide all the necessary items to start the new school year ready.

Donations can be sent to John Theissen Children's Foundation: 1881 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh, NY.
