Locals Flock to Farmers' Market

Dreary weather keeps some vendors away, but not customers.

The in Seaford began early Saturday morning at the Seaford LIRR station - dark clouds and all.

The damp skies did not detain nearby residents from taking in some culinary delights. Among the vendors were Polka Dot Pound Cake, Terry Farms of Orient, Papa Pasquale Ravioli Co. of Brooklyn, Orwasher's Bakery of New York City, The Pretzel Stop of Oceanside and Hahn's Old Fashioned Cakes Co. of Farmingdale and Sannino Wines of Peconic.

Laura Ryan Moakley wrote on the Wantagh-Seaford Patch Facebook page that the market was "great."
