MacArthur HS Students from Seaford Accept Awards from Hockey Legend

Jessy Davidson and Ryan Clifford competed in the Main Street Mile race held in Farmingdale hosted by NHL Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine.

Two Seaford teens recently accepted awards from National Hockey League Hall of Famer and New York Islanders legend Pat LaFontaine .

MacArthur High School students Jessy Davidson and Ryan Clifford competed at the Main Street Mile, an annual one-mile race held in Farmingdale, which raises funds for Companions in Courage. The charity was founded by LaFontaine as a way to connect hospitalized children with their family, friends and heroes.

A crowd of almost 450 participated in the children’s, women and men’s divisions of the race, according to the Companions in Courage website. Davidson placed second in her age group, while Clifford placed third.
