Seaford Eagle Scout Honored

A Seaford Eagle Scout who helped renovate part of a Massapequa church was recently took part in his Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony

Ryan John Clifford received Boy Scouts' highest honor after completing a project in which he fixed up a classroom in the United Methodist Church in Massapequa.

Ryan raised money for the renovation by holding a fundraiser for supplies . He also raised cash by returning cans and bottles and collecting deposits.

Ryan and other project volunteers replaced ceiling tiles, worn electric circuits, door hardware, pipe covering, and repainted the walls in the classroom.

“Ryan has showed remarkable dedication to his community by undertaking this project,” Norma Gonsalves, R-East Meadow, the presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature said.
