Hi, my name is Miley. I am an exuberant, friendly little gal who is staying at the in Wantagh until I find my forever home.

I make friends quickly with new people, even the most unusual of strangers, and love to be petted and massaged. I like playing with people and simply love toys! In fact, I enjoy toys so much that I sometimes guard them from people.
I'll need a patient, experienced adopter who can teach me how to share. Due to my resource guarding, I should be in a dog-experienced home with teenagers or adults. I'm comfortable with all types of handling and will readily share my resources with people.

I am very playful with other dogs and would enjoy their company immensely!I am a high-impact, high-energy player so I hope you'll find me appropriate playmates who will play like I do and won't take offense.
I know I should really learn some manners and impulse control when around other dogs, but atleast I do not guard my resources around them. I have already had some training (I know sit and stay for instance.) and am eager to learn more commands, especially if I'll be rewarded with one of my favorite treats!
I definitely need to learn to walk nicely on a leash and to not be so jumpy! So if you have the patience to train me and love me, I know I can be a great addition to your family. Please stop by the shelter to meet me.
