Frugal Friday: Hats Off!

Found: a stylish fedora for under $25.

Adding a stylish accessory to your fall wardrobe doesn’t have to cost a small fortune. One must-have I love for the season is a fedora hat, and Kirna Zabete for Target has one for under $25.

At first glance, you might easily mistake the pattern for an animal print, but it’s actually kisses - giving it a kitschy look and feel. I picture pairing it with a black trench coat when it starts to get chilly out or with a black turtleneck and faux fur vest.

At just $22.99, you won’t feel guilty about splurging on both the gray and white color options. It’s also made of 100 percent wool, so it will beautifully hold up against the elements.

Find them at Target.com or Target stores island-wide.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?
