Wantagh Woman Dies at 101
Prior to moving to Wantagh, Ruth R. Brodeur was a parishioner of St. Margaret Church in Lowell, MA for more than 49 years.
Ruth R. (Rothwell) Brodeur, 101, of Wantagh died on Aug. 16 at Fulton Commons Care Center in East Meadow.
She was the wife of Raymond A. Brodeur, who died July 22, 1993.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on April 8, 1912, she was the daughter Edwin and Rose (Lee) Rothwell. Before retiring, Ruth was employed as a teacher within the Billerica School District for more than 35 years.
Prior to moving to Wantagh, she was a parishioner of St. Margaret Church in Lowell for 49-plus years.
Ruth is survived by her son Dr. Raymond A. Brodeur, Jr. and two grandchildren Dr. Michael Brodeur and Susan Brodeur. She also had two great-grandchildren, Katie Brodeur and Lauren Brodeur.
