On Feb. 17, the group held a highly successful in front of the closed museum in Seaford attended by more than 100 people. They heard the deputy county parks commissioner dispel rumors that the museum was going to stay closed or be privatized. They listed as the commissioner explained why the museum and adjacent pond remained closed and promised a spring reopening, but no firm date was given. Lots of questions remain unanswered.

At the public meeting on March 12, an overview of the Friends’ organization, progress and challenges will be provided. Everyone who attends will be given a chance to offer their input, ask questions and share their concerns about Tackapausha Museum & Preserve. Friends of Tackapausha can be reached at friendsoftackapaushamuseum@yahoo.com.
