What will you do with the forty days of Lent?

*** LENTEN BLESSINGS ***
With Ash Wednesday approaching, it is necessary that we open our hearts, and draw nearer to God. This Liturgical calendar period commemorates when Jesus fasted for forty days in the desert, and rejected all nefarious temptations. As a solemn religious observance, this serves as our preparation before Easter, where we abstain, repent, reflect, and align ourselves spiritually with The Almighty. Through atonement and renewal, we fortify our relationship with The LORD. Sometimes, focusing less on ourselves and more on others with acts of selflessness, is more productive as it extends beyond our needs, and fulfills those who may not have another recourse. This is what Christ Jesus always spoke of - acceptance, compassion, and love for everyone. What will you do with the forty days of Lent?
Luke 24:46-48, "He told them, 'This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."
