Cops: Man Busted for DWI After Crashing into Cop Car
The impact caused the vehicle to flip, and two officers sustained non-life threatening injuries.
A Bronx man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after he crashed into a stopped police car on Ocean Parkway in the confines of Jones Beach State Park.
According to New York State Police, Robert Pierro, 29, struck a police car that was conducting a traffic stop, causing the vehicle to flip over.
The two officers inside the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Pierro was processed at Troop L Headquarters in Farmingdale and lodged at Nassau County Detention in Mineola pending his arraignment in Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead.
