Cops: Men Found with Amphetamines, Pot in Wantagh

Merrick man and Freeport man were stopped by police, found with container of drugs, cops said.

Two men face charges after being found with amphetamines and pot, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops saw two men driving in a "suspicious manner" and stopped them at Bayview Avenue and St. Regis Street in Wantagh, police reported. As they investigated, officers said they found a clear container holding Amphetamine and marijuana.

The stop was made at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, police reported.

The driver, Christopher Bracco, 28, of Freeport, and Michael Wood, 28, of Merrick, were both placed under arrest at the scene, cops said.

Both men were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. They will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
