  • Sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 14, a GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Lake Court.

  • Sometime between 10 p.m. on Aug. 16 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 17, a GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on North Central Avenue.

  • Sometime between 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 18, a camera was stolen from a vehicle parked on Pirates Cove.

  • Sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, Shayla Grayson of Amityville was arrested for shoplifting at J.C. Penney and charged with petit larceny.

  • Sometime between midnight and 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 15, a rear passenger window was broken on car that was parked on Alhambra Road.

  • Sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 16, the front windshield and passenger side window of a car parked at the Massapequa LIRR Station were damaged.

  • On Aug. 17, at 2:54 p.m., Jesse Vanewyk, 32, of Massapequa, was arrested at the intersection of Carmans Road and Francine Avenue and charged with driving while ability impaired.

  • Bellmore

    • A 34-year-old man was arrested for his role in an assault at the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road Station that led to the death of a 49-year-old Freeport man, LIRR officials said. For more on this, click here.

    • Sometime between 3:44 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 13, a bike was stolen from the Bellmore LIRR Station bike rack.

    • Sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 13, another bike was stolen from a front lawn on Natta Boulevard.

  • Sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 13, another bike was stolen from a front lawn on Airway Drive.

  • Sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 6 a.m. on Aug. 13, glue was found inside the door lock at Laurvan Drugs, which is located at 1893 Bellmore Ave.

  • Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 13, a complainant left their cell phone in the bathroom at Dunkin’ Donuts on Merrick Road. When he returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

  • Sometime between 9 a.m. on Aug. 18 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 19, aluminum scrap metal was stolen from the front and rear yard on Soma Avenue.

  • Merrick

    • Sometime between 10-11 p.m. on Aug. 14, items were removed from an unlocked vehicle on Gildersleeve Street in Merrick.

    • On Aug. 16, at 3 a.m., a bike was stolen from a garage on Elliot Place.

    • At 8:21 p.m. on Aug. 18, the complainant discovered scratch marks down the driver’s side of her vehicle on Robbin Lane.

    • On Aug. 16, at 10:55 p.m., Megan Griffo, 42, of Massapequa Park, was arrested at the intersection of Merrick Road and Babylon Turnpike and charged with driving while intoxicated and five violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

    • At 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 20, Kayla Gorman, 22, of East Islip, was arrested at the intersection of Frankel Boulevard and Merrick Road and charged with driving while intoxicated and two violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

    Levittown
    • On Aug. 15, at 1 a.m., a volunteer fire department ID was stolen from a car parked on Loring Road.

    • Sometime between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, a gas saw, levels, hammers and blades were stolen from a car parked at Target.

    East Meadow

    • Sometime before 7 a.m. on Aug. 15, items were removed from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Roxboro Court.
