Crime Nearby: Walmart Robbed, Suspicious Car Fire, Multiple Robberies

Bellmore

  • Sean Goebel, 44, of Bellmore died after his motorcycle collided with a car on Newbridge Road in East Meadow on Oct. 26. Read the story .
  • On Oct. 30, an unknown suspect attempted to steal assorted men's Rogaine products from Rite Aid on Pettit Avenue. When approached outside of the store, the suspect fled.
  • A wallet and other items were removed from a shopper's handbag at on Jerusalem Avenue in North Bellmore on Oct. 24.

East Meadow

  • On Oct. 23, a handbag was removed from an unlocked vehicle on McClellan Street.
  • Items were removed from an unlocked vehicle on Oct. 27. The car was parked on Kennsington Road.
  • Nassau County Police are investigating a suspicious car fire that happened on Stuyvesant Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. See the full story .

  • An unknown suspect(s) tore the valves of off the tires of complainant’s 2010 black Chrysler and 1998 gray Honda Accord on Covered Bridge Road. This happened on Oct. 26.
  • A reporting officer was responding to an alarm call at the on Oct. 28 and discovered damage to the front door caused by a brick.
  • On Oct. 28, Bridget Gallo, age 35, of Amityville, was arrested on Sunrise Highway, Merrick and charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • On Oct. 30, the was entered through the front door and iPads, iPhones, Tablets, Samsung, Acer and Sony cell phones were stolen.
  • Unknown suspect, MW in his 50s, was beeping and tailgating complainant’s vehicle on Merrick Road near Merrick Avenue on Oct. 30.  At a red light, the unknown suspect exited his vehicle and punched the passenger side mirror of complainant’s vehicle.

Seaford

  • A metal garbage can, house gutters, copper tubing and a piece of a shed were reported stolen from a home on Washington Avenue in Seaford on Oct. 26.

Wantagh

  • An external hard drive was reported stolen from an unlocked 2001 gray Nissan Sentra parked on Bunker Avenue in Wantagh on Oct. 21.
  • Assorted items were stolen from an unlocked 1997 gray BMW parked on Bunker Avenue in Wantagh on Oct. 24.
  • Two homes on Downhill Lane in Wantagh were burglarized on Oct. 27. In one burglary, the point of entry was through a rear door with assorted jewelry stolen. In the other burglary, the point of entry was through a rear window with assorted jewelry and money taken.
  • On Oct. 29, Lauren Hughes, 29, of Westbury was arrested at the , and charged with disorderly conduct.
  • The driver side mirror of a 1997 white Ford Taurus parked on Bellport Avenue in Wantagh was reported broken on Oct. 29.
  • A house on Deer Lane in Wantagh was burglarized on Oct. 29. The point of entry was through a front door but no items were reported stolen.
