Crime Report: Assault, Home Burglary, House Egged

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct..

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A home on Adelphi Road in Wantagh was burglarized on May 6. A woman in the house told police that she saw an unknown male standing in her hallway and that he pushed her to the floor and fled. The man had entered the home through an unlocked door.
  • A tool was stolen from a 1989 blue GMC Truck parked on Willoughby Avenue on May 6.
  • A house on Dell Lane in Wantagh was egged and shot with two to three paintballs on May 7.
  • A man on Riverside Drive in Wantagh reported to police on May 7 that he noticed scratches on the right side of his vehicle and a tree branch lying next to it.
  • A man told police on May 8 that he was assaulted by two unknown men at the corner of Sunrise Highway and Grove Street in Wantagh. Police said the victim was punched in the face and fell to the ground where he was repeatedly struck.
  • Work gloves were stolen from a 2002 red Ford Explorer parked on Southview Avenue in Wantagh on May 9. The complainant heard a car door slam and saw the suspect flee on foot. 
  • Copper plates were stolen and several cable wires were found cut at the Metro PCS store on 3320 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh on May 9.
