Crime Report: Attempted Gas Station Burglary, Stolen Car, DWI

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction.

  • A sink in the men's bathroom at in Seaford was reported damaged on Dec. 11.
  • Unknown suspect(s) shoved an undetermined object into a complainant’s garage lock on Riverside Drive in Wantagh rendering it inoperable between Dec. 11-18. 
  • The rear window of a 2007 black Chevy Suburban was broken on Dec. 13. No loss was reported by the complainant. 
  • On Dec. 14, Ivonne M Bohorquez, 50, of Wantagh was arrested at JC Penny, 600 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • A 2000 green Honda Civic was reported stolen from a home on Eastview Avenue in Wantagh on Dec. 14.
  • A GPS was reported stolen from a 2010 black Nissan parked on Balsam Court in Wantagh between Dec. 16-17. 
  • An attemped burglary was made at the Citgo Gas Station on 3818 Sunrise Hwy., Seaford on Dec. 17. The attempted point of entry was on the gas station's bathroom facility, according to police.
  • A home on Martin Court in Seaford was burglarized on Dec. 14 with assorted jewelry taken. The point of entry was through a rear window. 
  • On Dec. 19, Chong Seong Lee, 58, of Manhasset was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Oakland Avenue in Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one vehicle and traffic law violation. 
  • A house on Greentree Drive in Wantagh was burglarized on Dec. 19. The point of entry was through a rear sliding glass door but no items were removed from the home, according to police.
