Crime Report: Bikes Stolen from Tackapausha Museum, Residential Burglary

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the seventh and second precincts.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct and Second Precinct incident reports. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction.

  • A woman on Howard Avenue in Seaford reported discovering jewelry and other miscellaneous items missing from her residence and shed on March 17. No forced entry was observed.
  • A home on Wing Lane in Wantagh was burglarized on April 7. Police said a window was pried open and then the alarm sounded. No items were reported stolen.
  • Two bicycles were reported stolen from the Tackapausha Museum on Washington Avenue in Seaford on April 4.
  • A woman on Northview Avenue in Wantagh reported that her vehicle was scratched on April 4.
  • GPS devices were reported stolen from unlocked vehicles parked on Dale Court and Anne Drive in Seaford on April 6.
  • A GPS and pocketbook were stolen from vehicles parked on Anne Drive in Seaford on April 6. No damage to the vehicles was reported.
  • A GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Dogwood Lane in Seaford on April 7.
