Crime Report: Broken Windows at Seaford Avenue School, Jones Avenue Home Burglarized

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's First and Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions

  • A home on Jones Avenue in Wantagh was burglarized on Nov. 29. Entry was made through a rear window with jewelry, cash and electronics stolen. 
  • A bathroom at a baseball field on Duck Pond Drive North in Wantagh was reported damaged on Nov. 29. 
  • Three windows were reported broken on Nov. 30 at the former Seaford Avenue School building on 2165 Seaford Ave. 
  • On Nov. 30, Nicholas Colantonio, 23, of Seaford was arrested at the Nassau County Correctional Facility in East Meadow and charged with petit larceny.
  • A woman on Dock Lane in Wantagh discovered assorted jewelry missing from her residence on Dec. 3 
  • On Dec. 3, Brian Bernhard, 51, of Massapequa was arrested in Island Chanel Road in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • On Dec. 4, Robert J Richards III, of Seaford was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Beech Street in Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one vehicle and traffic law violation.
  • On Dec. 5, Thomas J Banks, 29, of Massapequa Park was arrested at the Nassau County Seventh Precinct headquarters in Seaford and charged with second-degree burglary.
