Crime Report: Residential Burglaries

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th and 1st Precinct.

  • Three homes in Wantagh and Seaford were burglarized on Nov. 9, according to police. The break-ins occurred on Keily Drive in Seaford, Britton Street in Wantagh and Lea Ann Terrace in Wantagh. In all of the burglaries the suspects entered the homes through the rear door. Jewelry and money were stolen from the home on Keily Drive, police said.
  • An attempted burglary of a residence on Roland Avenue in Wantagh occurred on Nov. 11. The rear sliding door was pried open, which sounded the alarm. No items were taken from the home.
  • On Nov. 11 a woman on Southard Avenue in Seaford reported that her south side Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) fence broken. She had padlocked the PVC fence upon leaving the residence but upon returning discovered that the gate was broken and the padlock was still in place. The victim stated to police that she feels her dog scared away the suspect.
  • On Nov. 13 Marcus Aubin,  29, of Brooklyn was arrested at the 7-Eleven on 4020 Sunrise Hwy, Seaford and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and one vehicle and traffic law violation.  
  • On Nov. 13 a man on Laurel Lane in Wantagh reported that an unknown person threw eggs at his deck and siding. 
  • On Nov. 15 a man parked near reported that unknown people threw two pipes and a broom handle through the middle passenger side window of his 1994 Plymouth.

The information is taken directly from incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
