Crime Report: Restaurant Burglarized, Stolen Jewelry

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 1st and 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's First and Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • An iPod was reported stolen from in Wantagh on Sept. 5.
  • Still Waters Restaurant on 2581 Ocean Ave., Seaford was burglarized on Sept. 5. With money, cases of beer and bottles of liquor reported stolen. The point of entry was through a side door.
  • On Sept. 7, Ryan Kelly, 22 of West Islip was arrested at the headquarters and charged with  fourth-degree grand larceny, second –degree forgery, two counts of second-degree identity theft and petit larceny.
  • A home on West Seamans Neck Road in Wantagh was burglarized on Sept. 12 with assorted jewelry taken. The point of entry was through a rear door.
  • Assorted jewelry was reported stolen from a home on Fortune Court in Wantagh between Aug. 4 and Sept. 4.
  • Bread was stuck in the tailpipe of a motorcycle parked on Merrick Road between Sept. 2-6.
  • A garbage can caught on fire in on Sept. 6.
  • The front window was discovered broken at on 1931 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh between on Sept. 10.
  • A man reported to police on Sept. 11 that an onboard motor had been stolen from his boat on Hempstead Lane in Wantagh.
  • Two vehicles parked on Walters Avenue in Wantagh were reported damaged on Sept. 11.
