Crime Report: Stolen Honda, Damage at Seaford Avenue School

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's . A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Between 7 p.m. on June 20 and 1 p.m., a 2011 blue Honda CRV was stolen from  on 3928 Merrick Rd. in Seaford.
  • Sometime between June 20 and June 21, an unknown suspect scratched the hood and driver’s side door of a 2005 gray Pontiac at the .
  • On June 21, Oliver Betancourt, 20, of Syosset, was arrested on Railroad Avenue in Wantagh and charged with second-degree obstruction of government administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
  • On June 23, Kurt Walther, 19, of Wantagh, was arrested at his home and charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon.
  • On June 23 at 9 p.m., an unknown male suspect threw a rock through the rear passenger window of a vehicle that was being operated on Beech Street in Wantagh.
  • On June 24, Brittany Quirk, 19, of Wantagh, was arrested at Kohl’s, located at 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • Sometime on June 24, all four tires and rims were stolen from a 2010 black Acura on Tangle Lane in Wantagh.
  • On June 25, there was reported damage to two windowpanes at the former Seaford Avenue School in Seaford. 
  • On June 25, Michael Deluca, 73, of Wantagh, was arrested at Wal-Mart, 200 Sunrise Mall, and Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • On June 26, Michael Ruane, 19, of Levittown, was arrested on Twin Lane South, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
