Crime Report: Stolen Tires and Rims, Eggs Thrown at House

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th and 1st Precincts.

The information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct and First Precinct incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

  • Damage to property at in Wantagh was reported on June 25. 
  • Eggs were thrown at a house on Dell Lane in Wantagh on June 26 causing damage to the siding. 
  • A man on Dell Lane in Wantagh reported to police on June 26 that he heard banging on his front door as if someone was trying to open it. A neighbor then reported seeing youths running from the scene.
  • Tires and rims were stolen from a Honda Civic that was parked at Merrick Road Auto Repair in Wantagh for repairs sometime between June 26-27. 
  • A soccer goal post at in Wantagh was reported damaged on June 27. 
  • A pocketbook containing credit cards and personal papers was reported stolen on June 28 from a 2001 red GMC parked at the building on 300 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh.
  • A man on Raymond Street in Seaford reported that his iPhone was stolen while playing basketball on June 29. 
  • On July 2, Brian Diorio, 21, of Huntington was arrested at the Nassau County headquarters in Seaford and charged with leaving the scene of an incident without a report.
