Crime Report: Stolen Vegetable Oil from Diner, Doorbell Prank, DWIs

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A wallet containing personal papers was stolen from a 2005 white Jeep parked on Beaver Turn in Seaford on Sept. 19.
  • On Sept. 21, Nicholas Classi, 49, of Wantagh was arrested at the headquarters in Seaford and charged with third-degree grand larceny.
  • A man who lives on Demott Avenue in Wantagh reported to police on Sept. 21 that two youths rang his doorbell and knocked over flowerpots. The man stopped the youths and called 911 and they admitted to pranking his house, according to police. The parents of the youths arrived at the scene and they were released. The complainant requested no further police action from the incident.
  • On Sept. 22, Andrea M Gray, 30 , of Wantagh was arrested on Hicksville Road near North Suffolk Avenue in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • A woman on Hitchcock Road in Wantagh reported to police on Sept. 22 that she saw an unknown subject taking pictures of her home then rang the doorbell.
  • A weed wacker and two backpack blowers were stolen from a trailer door where the lock was cut on Merrick Road in Seaford between Sept. 22-23.
  • Two weed wackers, two blowers and a lawn mower were stolen from a  trailer door where the lock was cut on Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh between Sept. 22-23.
  • On Sept. 23, Max Sangemino, 24 of Wantagh was arrested on Park Avenue near Emma Street in Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one vehicle and traffic law violation.
  • The top back window of a soft top at the were discovered cut with one punctured tire on Sept. 25.
  • An employee at the on 3240 Sunrise Hwy., Wantagh reported to police on Sept. 26 that two unknown suspects stole vegetable oil from a container at the restaurant.
