Crime Report: Window Damaged at Seaford Avenue School, Stolen iPad

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the Seventh Precinct.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct incident reports. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction.

  • A man on Morton Lane in Seaford discovered the passenger window of his vehicle broken and a briefcase stolen on March 12.
  • A 2008 Jeep Liberty was stolen from a driveway on Oakwood Lane in Seaford on March 12.
  • The rear window of a vehicle parked at the Wantagh Long Island Rail Road Station was discovered broken on March 12. No items were removed.
  • A window at the former Seaford Avenue School building was discovered broken on March 13.
  • An iPad was stolen from a vehicle parked on Beverly Road in Wantagh on March 14.
  • On March 15, Donald Popella, 60, of Seaford was arrested at his home and charged with three counts of second-degree menacing.
  • A man working security at a bar near the corner of Park Avenue and Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh on March 16 was stuck in the back of the head with a broomstick by a suspect after he was kicked out for stealing money off the bar.
