Crimes Nearby: 7-Eleven Stabbing, Brick Thrown at Vehicle

Crimes reported in Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Farmingdale.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Wantagh

  • Two Hempstead men were charged with attempted robbery last Sunday after one allegedly assaulted a 7-Eleven clerk with a knife after being denied entry to the store. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 11 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 5 a.m. on Nov. 9, cash and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle parked on Sarah Drive.
  • On Nov. 7, between 11:30 a.m. and 11 p.m., a Western Lane home was broken into, and an oven, blender, medicine and a power washer were stolen.
Seaford
  • Three cars were damaged in a hit and run incident near the Masssapequa-Seaford border Monday night, Nassau County police said. Click here for more. 
Massapequa
  • A Massapequa man was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening to blow up Cardworks in Woodbury in March, cops said. Click here for more.
  • Police are looking for help finding a suspect in an August Burglary at Party City in Massapequa. Click here for more.
  • Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that took place on the west side of Sunrise Mall on Thursday. Click here for more.
  • Nassau County police on Tuesday night said four men were arrested for removing clothing from a donation bin in the Sunrise Mall parking lot. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 6, unknown suspect(s) stole a GPS from the complainant's unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway on Michigan Avenue.
  • Sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 6, unknown suspect(s) removed a GPS and iPod from the complainant's unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway on Iris Place.
  • Sometime between 9 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 6, unknown suspect(s) removed a GPS, cell phone and cash from the complainant's unlocked vehicle on Kenwood Avenue.
  • At 4:42 p.m. on Nov. 7, three unknown suspects removed clothing from Kohl's.
  • On Nov. 8 at 2:50 p.m., unknown suspect(s) stole a cell phone from the counter of a kiosk at Sunrise Mall.
  • On Nov. 10 at 1:55 p.m., a Central Islip woman was arrested for shoplifting at Macy's and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Nov. 10 at 4:15 p.m., an Amityville woman was arrested for shoplifting at H&M and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Nov. 11 at 1:45 p.m., two Brentwood teens were arrested for shoplifting at J.C. Penney and charged with petit larceny.
  • Sometime between 8 a.m. on Nov. 6 and 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 7, unknown suspect(s) broke the windshield and dented the hood and fenders of a vehicle while it was parked at the Massapequa LIRR Station.
Farmingdale
  • At 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, a vehicle parked on Cedar Drive was scratched.
  • On Nov. 12 at 10 a.m., a brick was thrown at a vehicle parked on Fulton Street.
  • On Nov. 12 at 4 a.m., cash and a religious medallion were stolen from a vehicle parked on Dorset Lane. 
  • Sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 6:45 a.m. on Nov. 7, a wallet, credit cards and cash were stolen from a vehicle parked on Frank Avenue.
  • Sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 12, a 2006 Honda was stolen from the Farmingdale LIRR Station.
