Crimes Nearby: Asian Cafe Robbed, Beef Stolen, Suspicious Package

Recent criminal activity reported for Bellmore, Merrick, Levittown and East Meadow.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Bellmore

  • On Oct. 20, at 9:10 a.m., a political sign was stolen off of a lawn on Bellmore Avenue.
  • Sometime between 6 a.m. on Oct. 14 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 15, a rear metal handrail was damaged at Newbridge Road School.
  • Sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, two tires were slashed at B.C. Pub on Bellmore Avenue.
  • Jewelry was reported stolen from a home on Marie Court in Bellmore. Multiple home health aids have had access to the residence in the past.

Merrick

  • A Baldwin man was arrested on Oct. 20 for allegedly driving drunk on the Southern State Parkway while a 5-year-old was in the back seat. Click here for more.
  • On Oct. 15, between 7:10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., hubcaps were stolen from a vehicle parked at Calhoun High School.
  • Sometime between 11 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 4:55 a.m. on Oct. 16, the front door was damaged at Valero on Jerusalem Avenue.

East Meadow

  • Sometime between 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 16, an iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked on Rose Lane.

  • Sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 19, an Airborne Bowtech was stolen from a vehicle on Bloomingdale Road.
  • Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, a Garmin GPS was stolen from a car parked on The Plains Road.
  • Sometime between 2 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 10:16 a.m. on Oct. 19, a 9.8 HP Outboard motor was stolen from a vehicle parked on Celestial Lane.
  • Sometime between 11 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 20, the rear tires were punctured on a vehicle parked on Carnation Road.
  • Sometime between Oct. 21 at 9 p.m. on Oct. 22 at 8 a.m., a rock was thrown through a vehicle’s window on Shepard Lane.
  • On Oct. 19 at 3:25 a.m., there was an attempted burglary at Beverage Barn, but nothing was stolen.
  • Sometime between 6 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 21, eight power tools were stolen from a home on Miller Place in Levittown.
  • On Oct. 20, between 3-4 a.m., assorted beef was stolen from a home on Ridge Lane in Levittown.
  • Sometime between 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 and midnight on Oct. 17, a 2004 Mercury was stolen while parked at Senior Citizen Housing.
