Crimes Nearby: Bank Teller Arrested, Woman Punches Security Officer

Wantagh

• A teller in a Wantagh bank was arrested Friday afternoon for stealing about $32,000 from an 82-year-old customer Nassau County police said. Click here for more.
• Sometime between 8 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 11, unknown suspect(s) stole a GPS from the complainant’s vehicle, which was parked on Jackson Avenue. No damage to the vehicle was reported.
• Sometime before 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, four vehicles on Cypress Street were rummaged through. Some owners reported losses. Losses include: keys, laptop, GPS, Nintendo and a credit card.

Seaford

• On Oct. 12, at 11:55 p.m., James Stephen Wicks, 19, of Merrick, was arrested at the intersection of Ladonia Street and Riverside Avenue and charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of an incident and five violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

• A Mastic woman was arrested for robbery and endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly punched a security officer in the face at J.C. Penney Tuesday. Click here for more.

• Sometime after 4 a.m. on Oct. 10, unknown suspect(s) stole a backpack from the complainant's vehicle that was unlocked while parked on Nancy Place.
• Sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 10, unknown suspect(s) stole cash from the complainant's unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway on Grover Avenue West.
• Sometime after 3 a.m. on Oct. 9, the contents of multiple vehicles on Rustwood Place were rummaged through. Cash was reported missing.
• Sometime between 11 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 10, unknown person(s) rummaged through the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the street on Eastwood Drive and removed cash.
• On Oct. 10, at 2:38 a.m., unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the complainant's vehicle which was parked in the driveway on Grover Avenue West. No loss or damage  to the vehicle was reported.
• On Oct. 8, at 3:40 p.m., unknown suspect(s) cut the cable lock on the complainant’s bike that was chained to a pole at Walmart and removed the bike.
• At 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 10, an Amityville woman was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s and charged with petit larceny.
• On Oct. 10, at 2:08 p.m., a North Bellmore teen was arrested for shoplifting at Sears and was charged with petit larceny.
• On Oct. 11, at 12:30 p.m., an Amityville resident was arrested for shoplifting at J.C. Penny and charged with petit larceny.
• At 11:58 a.m. on Oct. 12, a Copiague woman was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart and charged with petit larceny.
• On Oct. 13, between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., the complainant's wallet, cash and headphones were stolen from a locked car parked at XSport Fitness.
• On Oct. 14, at 3:25 a.m., Christopher Tonn, 23, of Wantagh, was arrested at the intersection of Merrick Road and Harrison Avenue and charged with DWI and a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
• Sometime between 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 and 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 10, unknown person(s) ransacked the victim’s unlocked vehicle, which was parked on Grand Boulevard. No larceny or damage occurred.
• Sometime between 8 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 13, a mirror was broken on a vehicle parked on Roy Street.

Farmingdale

• Suffolk County Police on Monday arrested seven motorcyclists, including two from Farmingdale, from across the region after they tore through the Long Island Expressway, speeding and weaving through traffic for more than 10 exits. Click here for more.
