Crimes Nearby: Dodge Ram Stolen, Resisting Arrest

Crimes reported in Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Farmingdale.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Wantagh

  • Sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 23, a 2006 Dodge Ram was stolen off of Libby Lane in Wantagh.
  • Sometime between Oct. 25 at 11 p.m. and Oct. 26 at 5 a.m., unknown suspect(s) threw eggs at complainant's vehicle that was parked on Jane Street.
  • On Oct. 26, at 4:45 a.m., Dionis Veras Nunez, 28, of Flushing, was arrested at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Oakland Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On Oct. 27 at 2:27 a.m., Doris McGinnis, 49. of Island Park, was arrested at Mill Pond Park and charged with resisting arrest and obstructing government administration.

Seaford

  • On Oct. 29, between 12:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., a Seamans Neck Road home was broken into and assorted jewelry was taken.
  • Sometime after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, a Jerusalem Avenue resident was the victim of a phone scam where the caller claimed to be from LIPA.
  • Sometime before 12:18 p.m. on Oct. 26, unknown suspect(s) removed cooking oil from Chinese Food restaurant on Merrick Road.

  • A Massapequa man who worked at a Sunrise Mall shop, set fire to a clothing rack to hide the fact that he stole from the store's cash register, Nassau County police said. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 9 a.m. and noon on Oct. 28, a west drive home was broken into via the rear door, but nothing was taken.
  • On Oct. 27, between 12-5:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) removed two bicycles from the complainant’s yard on Clocks Boulevard, damaged the hood ornament of his wife’s vehicle and stole clothing from her trunk.
  • Around 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 28, unknown suspect(s) damaged the complainant’s locker at X-Sport Fitness and removed property from his wallet.
  • Sometime before 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 22, Unknown suspect(s) removed two GPS’s from the complainant’s vehicle without causing damage while it was parked on Boston Avenue.
  • On Oct. 23, at 9:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) stole a pocketbook from the complainant’s vehicle while she was shopping at Macy’s. No damage to the vehicle was reported.
  • On Oct. 28, between 9:45-11:10 a.m., unknown suspect(s) stole cash and other miscellaneous items from complainant's landscape vehicle that was parked at the intersection of Broadway and New Hampshire Avenue.
  • On Oct. 22, at 6 p.m., an Islandia resident was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Oct. 25, at 12:04 p.m., a Wyandanch resident was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Oct. 24, between 6 p.m. and 8:23 p.m., unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle from complainant’s shed on Jones Court.
  • At 4:35 p.m. on Oct. 26, a St. Albans man was arrested for stealing cooking oil at Uncle Giuseppe’s and charged with Petit Larceny.
  • Sometime before 1 p.m. on Oct. 26, unknown suspect(s) removed the halloween decorations from complainant’s front porch on Meadow Road.
  • At 1:51 p.m. on Oct. 27, unknown suspect(s) stole baby formula from Waldbaums.
  • On Oct. 28, at 4:45 p.m., a North Massapequa resident was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart and charged with petit larceny.
  • Sometime between 5:31 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Oct. 21, the complainant noticed the windshield of the vehicle cracked by unknown suspect(s) on Jerusalem Avenue.
  • Sometime before 7 a.m. on Oct. 25, the complainant discovered unknown suspect(s) drove over their front lawn on Nassau Road.
  • On Oct. 23, at 9:28 a.m., Michael Cangialosi, 24, of Massapequa Park, was arrested at the intersection of Whitewood Drive and Merrick Road and charged with driving while ability impaired.
  • On Oct. 24 at 12:58 a.m., Walter Marvin, 34, of Bellmore, was arrested at the intersection of West Park Boulevard and Sunrise Highway and charged with second and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

Farmingdale

  • Two men driving an old mini van with out-of-state plates stole packages that had been delivered to homes in, Farmingdale and Bethpage Wednesday afternoon. Click here for more.
  • A spree of vandalism struck at least four vehicles in South Farmingdale last week, Nassau County Police said. Automobile windows were broken on Colonial Drive, Fallwood Parkway, and Meadowwood Lane and another vehicle was damaged on Oakwood Avenue, police reported. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 1-8 a.m. on Oct. 23, a vehicle’s window was broken while parked on Meadowwood Lane.
  • Sometime before 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, a side cap of a vehicle was damaged while parked on Oakwood Avenue.
  • Sometime before 9 a.m. on Oct. 23, a window was broken on a vehicle parked on Colonial Drive.
  • Sometime before 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, a window was broken on a vehicle parked on Fallwood Parkway.
