Crimes Nearby Part I: Couple Charged with Robbery, Student Approached by Stranger

Recent criminal activity reported in Bellmore, Merrick and East Meadow.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Bellmore

  • A Bellmore couple was arrested on April 25 and charged with robbery and drug possession after they stole a pocket book, attacked the victim and pushed her out of a vehicle. For more details, click here.
  • Sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on April 21, an EZ Pass was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Logue Street in North Bellmore.
East Meadow 
  • A cell phone was removed from a table while left unattended at Aura Nightclub on April 15.
  • On April 16, items were removed from an unlocked car parked on Ramona Street.
Merrick 
  • On the morning of April 26, an eighth grade male student at Merrick Avenue Middle School was approached by a Hispanic man on the sidewalk while walking to school, according to Principal Meador Pratt. For more details, click here.
