Crimes Nearby Part I: Baby Formula Bust, Bank Robbery

Recent criminal activity reported for Levittown and Massapequa.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown

  • Sometime between July 29 and August 1, license plates were stolen from a car on Center and Grove Lane.
  • On August 1 at 11:15 p.m., a subject threw an unknown object at a vehicle on Hempstead Turnpike and Gardiners Avenue.
  • Sometime between July 30 at 4:30 p.m. and July 31 at 8 a.m., stilts, nail guns, a screw gun, and plumbing box with tools was stolen on N. Newbridge Road.
  • On August 5,  Officer Touhy of the Garden City Police Department arrested a 46-year-old male from Levittown for the theft of nine cans of baby formula from CVS.
  • Sometime between August 6 at 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m., a Samsung TV, a Macbook and an IPad were stolen on N. Newbridge Road.
  • Sometime between August 5 at 6 p.m. and 7:20 p.m., a credit card and cash was stolen from a car on Campus Lane and Chimney Lane.

  • A Massapequa man with a child in his car was arrested Saturday afternoon and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, Suffolk County Police said. Click here for more.
