Crimes Nearby Part II: Assault on Police Officer, Car Stolen in Levittown

Recent criminal activity reported in Levittown and Massapequa.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown 

  • A drag link was found cut off a car on Trumpet Lane in Levittown on March 27. 
  • Copper baseboard heating and copper piping was stolen off Carnation Road in Levittown on March 30. 
  • Tires and rims was stolen from a car at Honda City on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown on March 30. 
  • A window was broken on an vehicle parked on Skylark Lane in Levittown on April 2. 
  • A car was stolen on Emerson Ave. in Levittown on April 2. 

Massapequa

  • A man who tried to buy a vehicle with bogus credit cards assaulted a police officer as he tried to resist arrest on April 2 on Sunrise Highway near the Massapequa-Seaford border. For more details, click here. 
  • A Bethpage man who was stopped for speeding on the Southern State Parkway in North Massapequa on April 4, was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon and drugs. For more details, click here.
