Crimes Nearby Part II: Prostitution Arrest, Dunkin Donuts Armed Robbery

Recent criminal activity reported for Bellmore, Merrick and East Meadow.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Bellmore

  • The air conditioning unit at Newbridge Road School in North Bellmore was discovered damaged on May 27.
  • Cement mixer was removed from a yard on Bellmore Road sometime between June 2-3.
  • A laptop was stolen on June 4 from a vehicle parked at Subway on 2823 Merrick Road. No damage to the vehicle was reported.
  • A vehicle parked on Garfield Street in North Bellmore was reported scratched on June 6.
  • A pharmacist who purchased a gun after two fatal pharmacy robberies on Long Island used it to shoot at a robber on June 14 at Precision Pharmacy on Merrick Road, according to Nassau County Police. For more details, click here

  • On June 8, a 23-year old Connecicut woman was arrested after she allegedly offered to perform a sexual act to an undercover detective for an agreed amount of money. For more details, click here.
Merrick
  • A GPS and coins were removed from an unlocked vehicle on Nancy Boulevard on June 5.
  • On June 8, tires were slashed on multiple vehicles at Limousines by Micheal.
  • An unknown suspect damaged a vehicle parked at BP Gas Station on Merrick Road and stole power tools on June 8.
  • On June 10, an unknown suspect broke the window of a vehicle parked on Dobson Avenue and attempted to steal a leaf blower. When the owner of the car approached the suspect, he fled on foot.
  • Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at Dunkin Donuts on 56 Sunrise Highway in the early morning hours of June 11. For more information, click here.
