A homeless man from Westbury was arrested Wednesday after allegedly calling Nassau University Medical Center claiming there was a bomb inside the hospital, according to Nassau County Third Squad detectives. Click this link for more.

Sometime before 8 a.m. on July 19, items were stolen from a car on Blaine Avenue after the vehicle’s windows had been left open.
Merrick
A Virginia man was arrested for burglary in Merrick on Friday night, police said. Click here for details on the arrest.
Sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 9, a catalytic converter was stolen out of a vehicle that was parked in the Merrick Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) parking lot.
On July 8, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., another catalytic converter was removed from a 2004 Toyota that was parked at the train station.
- Sometime between 1 p.m. on July 7 and 6:30 p.m. on July 8, two bikes were stolen from a garage on Commonwealth Avenue.
