Foul Play Suspected in Mill Pond Death

Cops said that the victim had injuries "made it obvious he was killed."

Police have confirmed that the man found dead at Mill Pond Sunday was met with foul play, according to a Newsday report.

Inspector Kenneth Lack, a police spokesman, said that victim had injuries that "made it obvious he was killed."

Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call for a body slumped over a log at Mill Pond Park at 4 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they discovered a deceased male. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center for autopsy.

The identity of the deceased and the cause of death haven't been revealed by cops.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
