Man Killed by Train at Seaford LIRR Station

The incident happened at 12:20 p.m., and the man's identity has not been disclosed.

A man was struck and killed by a train at the Seaford Long Island Rail Road station Sunday, according to MTA Police.

The man was struck at 12:20 p.m. by a westbound train from Babylon that was due to arrive at Penn Station at 1:12 p.m., according to MTA spokeswoman Margie Anders. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending an investigation and notification of family, Anders said.

The train that struck the man had around 100 passengers, who were transferred to another train on the eastbound track, according to Anders. She said there were 15 to 20 minute delays from 12:20 to 3:30 p.m. during a police investigation at the scene but that service is now back to a regular schedule.
