MTA Police ID Woman Killed by Train in Wantagh
Wantagh resident Celeste Guerriero identified as person fatally struck last Friday on LIRR tracks.
MTA police have identified the 45-year old woman who was fatally by a train last Friday at the Wantagh Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).
LIRR spokesman Sam Zambuto said the woman who was killed while standing on the westbound tracks just before 11:30 a.m. on March 11 was Celeste Guerriero of Wantagh. Zambuto said MTA police are continuing to investigate Guerriero’s death as a possible suicide.
The train that struck Guerriero was a westbound express from Babylon to Freeport.
