NEARBY: Suspect Poured Black Crushed Rubber into Levittown Pools

Nassau County Police are looking for a suspect who they said caused damage to several Levittown pools early Wednesday morning.

An employee of the Town of Hempstead told police that an unknown person or persons poured black crushed rubber into seven of the Levittown pools, causing an undisclosed amount of damage, according to detectives. The crime occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police said the following pools sustained damage: Slate Lane Pool, Acorn Lane Pool, Bluegrass Lane Pool, North Village Green Pool, Azalea Road Pool, East Village Green Pool and West Village Green Pool.
