Victims jumped by three robbers, according to police.

Two teens were jumped by a group of robbers on Merrick Road in Massapequa early Saturday morning, police said.

The two victims, ages 16 and 17, were approached near the intersection of Merrick and Bayview Avenue at about 2 a.m. by a gang of three people.

One of the robbers asked the 16-year-old boy what was in his backpack, before punching the victim and knocking him to the ground, cutting his left cheek. He later refused medical attention.

The robber took the backpack and his two accomplices demanded the 17 year-old boy hand over his property, police said.

They went through his pants pockets and took the victim's iPhone and wallet before fleeing on foot.

The robbers are described as two male Hispanics and one male black.  The first male Hispanic was approximately 18-19 years-old, about 5-foot-8,and 150 pounds. He was wearing a grey shirt and dark shorts.  

The second male Hispanic was also about 18-19 years-old, about 5-feet-3 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has a Mohawk haircut and was wearing a red shirt.

The third subject was a male black with an afro style haircut who was wearing a light colored shirt.
