Police Identify Dead Body Found in Wantagh Park Marina

Death of 76-year old Edward Nallan of Wantagh is ruled non-criminal.

Nassau County detectives have identified the dead male body that was in the marina waters of Wednesday afternoon as Wantagh resident Edward Nallan.

Police said the death of the 76-year old Nallan has been ruled non-criminal. Police have still not determined the exact cause of Nallan’s death or the circumstances that led to his body floating in the marina.

The discovery of Nallan’s body Wednesday at 2:50 p.m. caused detectives to set up a crime scene investigation around the marina, which is located in the southernmost section of Wantagh Park. Nassau County Police Marine Bureau and Emergency Service Unit responded to remove Nallan's body.
