Police Investigate Graffiti on Wantagh Parkway Footbridge

Swastikas and other sayings were found spray painted.

Police are investigating an aggravated harassment incident that occurred in Wantagh Thursday night as anti-Semitic graffiti was spray-painted on a bridge along the Wantagh Parkway.

According to detectives, Seventh Precinct police officers discovered three swastikas and the word “Gfam” in red spray paint on the footbridge spanning the Wantagh Parkway from Beltagh Avenue. On the far side of the bridge the phrase, “We are united, We are legion, We do not forgive, We do not forget” was spray painted in black.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
